Joseph "Joe" DeSchryver, Chief Executive Officer
Joseph “Joe” DeSchryver, Chief Executive Officer, has over 16 years of experience of operating acute care hospitals and affiliated entities in California and Florida. Prior to HCA, he was part of Tenet Healthcare Corporation where he served as Chief Executive Officer of Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo since 2013. He has been involved in various community boards and charitable causes including: board member of CenCal, a managed Medi-Cal provider for San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties, founding member of Family Clinic SLO, and board member of Economic Vitality Corporation of SLO County
In 2016, he was chosen as one of ten CEO’s nationwide to the Tenet Council of CEOs and has received the Tenet Healthcare Circle of Excellence Award multiple times. In 2006, DeSchryver was recognized as a Top 20 Under 40 by The Tribune Newspaper and again in 2009 by Pacific Coast Business Times as a Top 40 Under 40.
Joe earned his bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Southern California and his masters of health services administration and masters of business administration from Arizona State University.
Omar Chughati, Chief Operating Officer
Omar Chughati joined Good Samaritan Hospital, as Chief Operating Officer, in 2017. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer at West Hills Hospital in Southern California. He has also served in administrative roles at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, Virginia and has been an employee of HCA since 2008 . He graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Commonwealth University with a Masters in Healthcare Administration.
Jody Dial, Chief Financial Officer
Jody Dial comes to Good Samaritan Hospital from Timpanogos Regional Hospital where he served as CFO since 2012. Prior to that he was Controller for HCA’s Mountain Division, where he identified cost management opportunities, enabled growth initiatives and supported nine hospitals. Mr. Dial has a varied financial background including international acquisitions and capital management. He is a graduate of Idaho State University.
Bruce Wilbur, MD Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Wilbur has been a member of the Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Staff since 2000. He has served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery, Vice Chief of Staff, and most recently as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Wilbur graduated from Cornell Medical College and completed his general surgical residency at UCLA. He also took off time during his residency to do basic surgical research at the Mayo Clinic. Following completion of his residency Dr. Wilbur did a vascular fellowship at UCSF. He was an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Stanford University before entering private practice and brings over 30 years of medical expertise to the Good Samaritan executive team.
